Those who value and invest in learning will take move a step ahead of those who don't.

An intelligent heart acquires knowledge, and the ear of the wise seeks knowledge.   Proverbs 18:15 (ESV)

As we all know, there is so much to learn as we work to increase our influence for Christ.

We need to study God’s Word to fill our hearts with a message to share.

We need to work on the craft of writing or speaking to communicate the words of our hearts.

We need to learn about social media to get those words into the hearts of our audience.

We need to get better at email lists, Facebook groups, creating graphics, live video – not for the sake of vanity statistics, but because they help us connect sacred words to hurting hearts.

I’m thankful for those who teach these things in the ways that are consistent with my faith and values.  But there is definitely a need for more of those.

Those who value and invest in learning will take move a step ahead of those who don’t.  The top courses that Christian bloggers and online creatives plan to invest in this year are:

  • Courses related to speaking, writing and publishing (57%)
  • Courses related to blogging (blog traffic growth, list building, starting a blog, etc)  (55%)
  • Personal or spiritual development (46%)
  • Business or ministry development (42%)
  • Social media courses (36%)

PRO TIP

Breaking your course offerings into smaller, affordable modules (like Crystal Paine’s Your Blogging University) is a wise way to serve the online Christian creative community.  They are hungry to learn but need a way to make it affordable.
