Everyone Struggles

This post is part of my Write 31 Days Challenge series, based on results of the Online Christian Creative Survey.  Click here to see all posts in the series

When you are banging your head in frustration, cut yourself some slack.  Those big-name bloggers are worrying about the same things you are. When things get difficult, it can feel like we are the only one struggling … we are the only one who can’t figure out the problem and make progress.

But really, our struggles are quite common.  In fact, the top four struggles mentioned by online Christian creatives are the same top four mentioned when this survey was conducted two years ago.

  1.  Increasing traffic
  2. Creating an income
  3. Building an email list
  4. Balancing family and ministry time

And you’d think that the struggles would change significantly for those farther along on the journey.  But no matter how I sliced and diced the responses, at least three of those four were at the top.

So when you are banging your head in frustration, cut yourself some slack.  Those big-name bloggers are worrying about the same things you are.

PRO TIP

Successful people are learners.  The best way to crack the code on your biggest struggles is to invest in learning how others have mastered them before you.

And since there is an abundance of information available about all of these topics, as course creators and service providers, we may be tempted to find some other topic that is not so widely covered.  However, our own experiences and style can offer unique solutions to the same old struggles tailored to our target audience.  So don’t shy away from the common topics.  Bring an uncommon viewpoint.
